September Scraplift Challenge

What is scraplifting?  Scraplifting is simply defined would be the copying of other people's idea or work for your layouts. Scraplifting is often a sticky topic for most scrapbookers.  Should we do it or not?  It is often convenient when one is low in creative juices or mojo but at the same time the person who we have scraplifted the ideas from is not so appreciative that we copied their ideas.  Why?  More often than not,  it takes time to think of something new or creative to be used in the layout.  Seeing the idea duplicated without any reference naturally upsets the creator.

However,  some scrappers find it flattering when others copy their ideas.  For us here,  the general rule would be that if we do need to borrow ideas from anyone else,  it would be great to just credit the creator.  It is not hard - just needs some linking or reference to where you have seen such an idea - no sweat.

This month,  all the DTs have long admired their co-DTs works of art and we have decided to scraplift each other's work and we would you like to play along with us.

All you have to do is to choose a piece of layout which you like from any of our DTs,  scrap it and send it back to us.  Please don't forget to tell us on where you took the layout from.  Another important thing to remember is that please do take the layouts which are not based on any sketches from other sites.

DT Jessy scraplifted from DT Yatie's My Guy layout.

DT Nad scraplifted Jessy's cute little lo on her family and turned into a best friend's layout.

DT Amelia grunged up her scraplifted layout from DT Nad's Friendship layout.

DT Michelle scraplifted DT Amelia's daughter's layout.

Lastly,  DT Yatie turned DT Michelle's boyish layout into a girlish cheery one.

Here is the yummy RAK that we have prepared for you this month:
