Winner Announcement for the May Challenge

We thought and pondered over it.  There were 2 layouts that caught our eyes and we just couldn't decide.  As a result,  we have decided to create a whole new category of winners this month.  Firstly,  Scrap-it-Lah  (SIL) is essentially a Malaysian site - so why not award 2 RAKS this month?  One for the Malaysian winner and another for our international submission.

June Sketch Challenge

Gosh - how time flies. Its June already and its a brand new month and we begin it with more news from the Scrap-it-Lah team. This month we have more news for you. Scrap-it-lah is growing and we have another additional 2 DT members on board. They are Mazlina and Nilla respectively. We would like to welcome them on board and we look forward to more inspirations from them.

With each new month, we have another challenge up for you. This month, we bring you this sketch by Jessy. This is the same sketch that we have used at the crop party and we figured that you may want to Scrap-It-Lah too...

Challenge Rules are as below:

Make a layout based on the sketch given. Designs are open to your own interpretation but they have to be recognizable.

You must make a hand made flower consisting of these 2 elements:

1) paper and

2) buttons.

You are free to add any more elements if you wish like brads,  stickles etc.  But please note that you will need to have at least these 2 elements in your flower.

You are most welcome to submit more than 1 entry in our challenges.  Challenge is due on the 30th June,  2009,  Malaysian Time.  Please be informed that we will not entertain any more entries thereafter.   

Surprise and RAK this month

Here we go ladies.  This month we are happy to announce that we are sending out five packets of brads sponsored by Momoyo for the first 5 submissions.  We would like to thank Momoyo for their kind sposnsorship.  Ladies,  if you are among the first 5 who have submitted,  please email us your address to facilitate us mailing you this surprise RAK.  We will be mailing the surprise RAK when we announce the winner of the challenge this month.

All submissions for this month's challenge should be received before or on the 30th May,  2009 Malaysian time.  Any submissions after that will not be entertained.  Please do take note of that ladies.

Hi ladies,  we are all excited and all anticipating eagerly for our very first crop party at Scrappingville. Just a friendly reminder of what to bring on that day:

You will need all of the things that you normally use to scrap:

E.g.  Scissors,  cutters,  gluestick or any other adhesives, embellishments or if you wish to buy in store - that is fine too,  patterned paper and cardstock and photos.  

We have a couple of exciting activities lined up for you.  Can't wait to see you there!!!

We are open this month to any form of interpretation meaning - you may opt to do a 12 by 12 layout or a mini album etc. However, the only condition would be that you have some form of JOURNALLING in your layout. You may choose to scrap about your own motherhood experiences or scrapping about your beloved mom.
